Our Founders
Fredrick Smock
Fredrick brings 30+ years of Human Resources and Business Acumen experience to CBS having worked in both HR and Operations leadership roles. Fredrick Founded CBS in 2008 with a vision of Meeting the Human Needs of Business. He has worked and consulted with both large and small organizations, both for-profit and not for-profit. The self-proclaimed HR Prophet, Fredrick is a master at facilitating the difficult conversations required for human improvement and for holding the proverbial mirror up when necessary.
Elizabeth Smock
With her experience as a strategic HR Director, Liz specializes in building people‑focused systems that strengthen culture, streamline operations, and drive measurable business results. Liz has led numerous innovations, including creating scalable recruiting and engagement processes that support rapid growth. She has built diverse, high‑performing teams from the ground up and expanded support for remote operations. Approachable, caring, and bold, Liz brings an ownership mentality to every organization she serves, ensuring HR empowers people and propels the business forward.
